PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely transmit required information in inexpensive constitution, to perform communication with a plurality of vehicles present at the front and back and to perform faster control and alarming, etc., in a communication system for communicating information between vehicles. SOLUTION: This system is provided with a transmission means 5 and a reception means respectively on the front part and back part of the respective vehicles 1 and 2, and the reception means is a camera (image pickup means) 6 sensitive to visible light and infrared light. Then, surrounding conditions detected on the basis of images picked up by the camera 6 are transmitted to the other vehicle by the transmission means 5.
