PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic apparatus which uses a blue semiconductor laser as a light source, has high durability, and is capable of outputting a stable image with ultrahigh image quality. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic apparatus equipped with an electrophotographic photoreceptor, a charging means, an exposing means, a developing means, a transferring means and a discharging means is characterized in that: the exposure means includes a semiconductor laser; the discharging means includes an LED; and the wavelength (λa [nm]) of the semiconductor laser light, the wavelength (λb [nm]) of the LED, and the wavelength (λc [nm]) at which the electrophotographic photoreceptor shows a maximum spectral sensitivity satisfy the relation (1):λa<λc<λb with all ofλa,λb,λc being within the range from 380 to 520 nm.
