摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical interface assembly capable of coupling/decoupling the light from an optical fiber connector to/from an embedded type PWB waveguide conveniently and exactly. SOLUTION: The optical interface assembly includes a 1st portion having a plurality of optical waveguides. The 1st portion is configured for mating engagment with an optical fiber connector. A 2nd portion is mated to the 1st portion. The 2nd portion is configured for mating engagement with an electronic substrate that includes an embedded waveguide assembly. The 1st portion and the 2nd portion are further configured so as to align the plurality of optical waveguides, at a 1st end of the 1st portion, with a plurality of corresponding waveguide cores of the embedded waveguide assembly. The 1st portion and the 2nd portion are further configured so as to align the plurality of the optical waveguides to the plurality of optical fibers in the optical fiber connector at a 2nd end of the 1st portion.
