PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a portable voice repeater capable of tracing back a speech which was missed by about several minutes and reproducing it. SOLUTION: The portable voice repeater includes a sound collector which converts a voice into an analog signal; a voice recorder IC chip which converts the analog signal into a digital signal and records it, and converts the recording contents into an analog signal again and outputs it when receiving a playback indication; a voice reproducer which converts the output of the voice recorder IC chip into a voice; a playback button for indicating the playback indication to the voice recorder IC; a battery power source which supplies electric power to the voice recorder IC chip, and a package which houses them and can be put on or attached to the body. Then only sound information is always recorded for a certain past time and the past sound information which is recorded for the certain time is reproduced when the playback button is pressed.
