PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming system capable of forming an image in a state where a delicate color tone is made uniform by avoiding the fine change of the color tone caused by the difference of the manufacture lots of image forming materials to be used. SOLUTION: In the image forming system, the image is formed by using: the image forming materials to which a non-contact recording medium is added; and image data. The manufacture information of the image forming materials is stored in the non-contact recording medium. The image forming system is equipped with: a read means for reading the manufacture information from the non-contact recording medium; a storage means for holding the read manufacture information; and a selection means for selecting the image forming material used to form the image on the basis of the read manufacture information.
