PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper transfer device for an image forming device, preventive of the degradation of double feed preventing performance when a reverse roller is worn by positive rotation and reverse rotation in the state of contacting a transfer roller. SOLUTION: The paper transfer device comprises the transfer roller 110 for transferring paper, the reverse roller 120 arranged in contact with the transfer roller 110, a driving motor 130 for providing power for the reverse roller 120, and an idling gear 140 connecting the reverse roller 120 to the driving motor 130 for transmitting power thereto. The idling gear 140 transmits the power of the driving motor 130 to the reverse roller 120 with its rotational center being moved in response to the wear of the reverse roller 120. The idling gear 140 is moved on a locus superposed on a virtual circle having a distance from the center of the idling gear 140 as a radius, around the center of a driving gear 131 of the driving motor 130.
