PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing precision cast glass which has advantages such as relatively simple treatment, relatively low production cost and relatively high precision. SOLUTION: The method for producing the precision cast glass includes a step for preparing a casting device 100 having a first mold 10 with a first casting surface 11, a first end part 13 and a first outer peripheral part 14, and a second mold 20 with a second casting surface 21, a second end part 23 and a second peripheral part 24, a step for attaching a center arrangement unit 30 having a shear part 31 to the periphery of the casting device 100, a step for arranging a glass material 40 between the first casting surface 11 and the second casting surface 21, and a step for casting the glass material 40 until the glass material 40 is compressed so as to have a prescribed central thickness and until the excess amount (I) of the glass material 40 is squeezed out to the outside of the first end part 13 and the second end part 23, a step for lowering the temperature of the glass material 40, and a step for moving the center arrangement unit 30 so that the shear part 31 removes the excess amount (I) of the glass material 40 while the glass material is still soft.
