PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carrying device, in which picking work or unloading work can be performed laterally in a crossing direction to the carrying direction of a carrying part in a carrying means provided with a placement part on which articles can be placed and supported. SOLUTION: A carrying part for transfer 5b is composed to be changeable between a carrying state in which a thrust force providing means 4 can be brought to get in contact with the underside surface of the article 2 supported by a blow type support means 3, and a transfer state in which the thrust force providing means 4 is separated downward from the articles 2 that is supported by the blow type support means 3. It is provided with a carrying means 37, provided with a placement part 38, on which the articles can be placed and supported, and which can be operated to move laterally in a crossing direction to the carrying direction, and vertically, in such a way that it can be freely inserted or removed laterally in the crossing direction to the carrying direction to/from space under the articles 2 supported by the blow type support means 3 as the carrying part for transfer 5b is in the transfer state, and support of the blow type support means 3 is enabled when it is inserted into the space under the articles 2.
