PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a molded article from being contaminated and make the surface of the molded article beautiful by exactly completely conducting a gate cut after injection molding. SOLUTION: In a side gate type mold, a gate cut plate 17 is mounted in a gate 21 to cut off a runner 20 and a cavity 15. The plate 17 has an opening portion 22 one side margin of which intercommunicates with the runner 21 and the other side margin of which intercommunicates with the cavity 15. A gate cut blade 23 is formed in the margin of the opening portion 22 on the cavity side. When the mold is closed, a molten molding material is supplied to the cavity 15 via the opening portion 22, and after molding the gate cut plate 17 moves to conduct the gate cut with the gate cut blade 23.
