PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for granulating black soil appropriately to permit to use the black soil as a snow melting material capable of spreading through a spreader. SOLUTION: In order to use the granulated black soil as the snow melting material capable of spreading through the spreader, the method for manufacturing the granulated black soil comprises a step of adding a water-soluble polymer of 2-5 wt% to the sifted black soil, a step of preparing the granulated soil of an average diameter of 2-5 mm by mixing the black soil and the polymer and stirring the mixture, and a step of drying the granulated black soil to reduce the water content its 25-35 wt%.
