PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a supervisory control system which has excellent economic efficiency and does not require a communication channel, expense in time and effort, or a cost related to its maintenance. SOLUTION: The communication terminal 1A of an object facility 1 and the supervisory control terminal 2B of a supervisory control section 2 are connected via a network service provider (NSP) 3. The NSP 3 is provided with: a communication apparatus 3A connected to the communication terminal 1A by a communication line; a relay apparatus 3B that is located between the communication apparatus 3A and the supervisory control terminal 2B and relays, without conversion, detection information representing a detection result by a sensor provided to the object facility 1 and outputted to the supervisory control terminal 2B via the communication terminal 1A and information transmitted from the supervisory control terminal 2B to the object facility 1; and a storage device 3C that stores/accumulates, without conversion, the detection information periodically outputted from the communication terminal 1A and outputs the stored/accumulated detection information to the supervisory control terminal 2B via the contact apparatus 3B through the Internet line as required by the supervisory control terminal 2B.
