PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultraviolet sterilizer improving sterilizing efficiency by irradiation of strong ultraviolet rays for a long period of time. SOLUTION: This sterilizer is so formed that a case 6 constituting this ultraviolet sterilizer 5 is partitioned by a longitudinal partitioning plate 10 into a first channel 11 and a second channel 12 with small cross sections to reduce an air velocity flowing therein, increase the irradiation time receiving the ultraviolet rays from an ultraviolet lamp 9 and improves the sterilizing efficiency; and is disposed with the ultraviolet lamp 9 in the central part of the case 6, allows the air to flow around its circumference, and irradiates the air flow with the strong ultraviolet rays to improve the sterilizing efficiency.
