PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rice cooker capable of facilitating the gelatinization of rice by feeding steam at the time of re-heating and deliciously boiling up the rice in a pot on the whole, and specifically a rice cooker capable of delicously boiling rice by feeding steam with atmospheric pressure or higher pressure into the pot. SOLUTION: The rice cooker comprises a body whose top is open, the pot detachably stored inside the body, a lid to cover the body to be opened/closed, a heating means for heating the pot, a steam generating means for generating steam, and a steam pressure increasing means for increasing the pressure of the steam generated by the steam generating means to be fed into the pot.
