PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a riding type mower with which a cutting blade is not brought into contact with an obstacle and a ground surface, not worn and not damaged in early stages and rise and fall of a reaping apparatus and interruption of cutting blade drive are readily carried out. SOLUTION: The self-traveling riding type mower is equipped with an operation clutch lever 5 for operating both interruption of rotation drive of the cutting blade 2 and rise and fall of the reaping apparatus 3 and an adjustment lever 6 for adjusting the reaping height of the reaping apparatus 3 alone and has constitution that the reaping apparatus 3 is lifted and lowered by operating the adjustment lever 6 to set the reaping height of the reaping apparatus 3 and when the operation clutch lever 5 is engaged, the reaping apparatus 3 is automatically lifted or lowered and stopped to a reaping height position set by the adjustment lever 6.
