In an electrical cable and brush assembly in which the brush is moulded about one or more cables, the voltage drop between the brush and cable or cables is reduced by increasing the surface area of contact between the brush and the cable or cables, or by interposing between the brush and the cable or cables, a body which is a better conductor of electricity than the brush, or by a combination of the above methods. In embodiments employing the first method the end of the cable may be splayed or else the embedded length of cable may be increased and folded into a loop or coil. In embodiments employing the second method the body 3 interposed between the cable 2 and brush 1 may be a powder or a metal member or metal gauze. The body 3, where metal, may be crimped around the end of the cable. |
