The invention relates to: carboxy-reduced and chemoselectively O-sulphated derivatives of chondroitin sulphate having formula (I), wherein R1, R2, R3 and R4 represent H or SO3M, n is an integer of between 0 and 200 and M is an alkali metal, said derivatives being isolated or in mixtures; the diastereoisomers of said derivatives; the preparation method thereof; the applications thereof as a medicament; and pharmaceutical compositions containing same.
