<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a direction indicator for an automobile for automatically and clearly displaying a direction and angle when changing directions. <P>SOLUTION: The direction indicator is equipped with a detecting means for detecting parameters of the vehicle state and outputting a signal corresponding to the detected result, a control means for receiving the signal outputted by the detection means and outputting a control signal based on a prestored command, and a plurality of light-emitting units provided on the automobile and controlled by the control signal.
