摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve low temperature startability of a fuel cell stack. <P>SOLUTION: On the fuel cell stack 1 formed by alternately laminating separators and film electrode structures 54 formed by interposing a solid polymer electrolyte film 51 between an anode electrode 52 and a cathode electrode, the separator is formed by laminating an anode side separator 55 made of metal plate, and a cathode side separator 56. The anode side separator 55 has a fuel flow passage groove 55c on anode electrode 52 side face and a first coolant flow passage groove 55d on the other side face, and the cathode side separator 56 has an air flow passage groove 56c on cathode electrode 53 side face and a second coolant flow passage groove 56d on the other side face. An insertion material 61 is inserted in a space formed between the fuel flow passage groove 55c and the air flow passage groove 56c along their longitudinal direction, and coolant flow passages 60a, 60b are formed between the first coolant flow passage groove 55d, the second coolant flow passage groove 56d, and the insertion material 61. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
