PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mass spectroscope capable of analyzing a wide range of the mass number in high sensitivity and high mass accuracy. SOLUTION: The mass spectroscope is provided with an ion source 301 generating ion; an ion transport part 302 transporting the ion; a first linear trap storing the ion and discharging the ion within a specific range of the mass number; a second linear trap having an end electrode 6 at an outlet end for discharging ion, trapping the ion discharged from the first linear trap and repeatedly discharging it in a pulse state by changing relative direct current potential gradients against direct current potential of the end electrode 6; a time-of-flight mass spectrometry part accelerating and detecting the ion discharged by the second linear trap in an orthogonal direction; and a control part 101 changing pulse time widths for the ion to be discharged from the second linear trap, or delay time widths from completion of the ion discharge until the impression of accelerating voltage of the time-of-flight mass spectrometry part in accordance with the mass number range of the ion discharged from the first linear trap to the second linear trap.
