PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To uniformly supply combustion air. SOLUTION: In this combustion device, a plurality of rectangular combustion air inlets 9, 9 elongated in the cross direction of a bottom plate 6 of a burner case 2 are provided in an equally spaced, parallel relationship along the longitudinal direction of the burner case 2 by cutting and raising the bottom plate 6 at the part of the bottom plate 6 connected to a connecting tube 7. Cut and raised parts 10, 10 that form the inlets 9 are bent at a predetermined angle to the bottom plate 6 so as to spread radially about a portion near the lower corner of the connecting tube 7 toward an air chamber 5. Thus, when passing through the inlets 9, 9 from the connecting tube 7, the combustion air is introduced as it is guided by the cut and raised parts 10, 10 and diffused into the air chamber 5.
