PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple temporary column suitable as a ladder for a work site and a column of a temporary working platform, and superior in easiness-to-use, without hindering installation work of a support and a PC beam supported by a side surface of the column or effective use and work of a slab surface . SOLUTION: This temporary column 1 has a fixing part 6 fixable to an exposed reinforcement 5 in the vicinity of a corner part 4 of the column 3 in an upper part of a shaft body 2; has two or more places of corner part engaging parts 7 and 8 engageable with the corner part 4 of the column 3 in a proper position of the shaft body 2; prevents run-out in the horizontal direction of the shaft body 2 by engagement with the corner part 4 of the column 3 of these corner part engaging parts 7 and 8; and is constituted to be detachably suspended by fixing the fixing part 6 to the exposed reinforcement 5 in the vicinity of the corner part 4 of the column 3.
