PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting tool formed by mounting a cutting insert to a cutting tool body lower in cost and lighter in weight than the one made of aluminum. SOLUTION: The rotary cutting tool body 1 with the cutting insert 11 mounted thereto is made of amorphous plastic containing 30-60% of glass fiber phase. A threaded hole 8 for fixing a cartridge 15 fixed to the cutting insert 11, by a fastening method with a hexagon socket bolt 17 is formed fixed in an embedded state in a bottom part 6 of a chip pocket 5 of the body 1 by a member (a helical insert) 19 with an internal thread.
