PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a traveling stirrer constituted so as to continuously perform the feed-out of fermented perfect compost and the feed-in of a new material to be treated to dispense with the entry of a feed in and out machine into a fermentation tank to enhance the efficiency of various works necessary for the fermentation treatment of the material to be treated. SOLUTION: The traveling stirrer G is allowed to reciprocate and travel along the upper surfaces of both sidewalls 41 constituting the fermentation tank K to stirr the material J to be treated in the specific fermentation tank K and transferred to a transfer truck reciprocating and traveling in the direction crossing the longitudinal direction of the fermentation tank K at a right angle at one end part in the longitudinal direction of the fermentation tank K to stirr the material J to be treated in the separate fermentation tank K. This traveling stirrer is constituted of the stirrer truck traveling on the upper surfaces of both side walls 41 constituting the fermentation tank K, the stirring blade device constituted so that the frame is supported on the stirrer truck so as to be revolvable within a vertical plane and a large number of stirring blades F are spirally attached to the rotary shaft 15 supported by the frame and a pair of left and right hydraulic cylinders (revolving means) 2 for revolving the stirring blade device with respect to the stirrer truck.
