PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a unit for building up a toy which enables the housing of the engaging part not used into a part unit. SOLUTION: In the builtup unit for a toy, an arm part 13 has a rotary member 50 which turns on the rotary shaft 55 provided on the main body 14. The rotary member 50 has an engaging part 53 to be used in the connection to the second part unit 23 to be linked to the arm part 13 and a hand (necessary member) 51. When another member 23 is linked to the arm part 13, the hand 51 is housed into the main body 14 so as to expose the engaging part 53 from the main body 14 and when another member 23 is not linked to the arm part 13, the engaging part 53 is housed into the main body 14 so as to expose the hand 51 from the main body 14.
