Metal block temperature calibrator for a thermometer has at least an external Peltier element with a heat exchanger on the outer side of the Peltier element. Each Peltier element has a double-storied construction, with two separate Peltier elements (2, 3) connected to the circuit. When the calibrator is heated, the outer Peltier element (3) is acted on by reducing current as the temperature increases.
