Disclosed is a fuel pump in which a plug (7) used for mounting electrical contacts (6) is extrusion- coated with a plastic coat and is inserted into a receiving device (12) of a connection piece (4). The plug (7) comprises a circumferential sealing lip (17) which is molded on as a single piece and seals the plug (7) from the connection piece (4). The connection piece (4) thus requires a particularly low number of parts and can be produced in an inexpensive manner.
