<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode material for fuel cell excellent in electron conductivity and oxygen ion conductivity, and to provide a solid oxide fuel cell and a solid electrolyte gas sensor using the same. <P>SOLUTION: The electrode material for fuel cell includes a perofskite type composite oxide which is represented by a general formula (1): (A'<SB>1-x</SB>A"<SB>x</SB>)(B'<SB>1-y</SB>B"<SB>y</SB>)O<SB>3-δ</SB>, wherein A' is a rear earth element, A" is Ba, Sr, Ca, etc., B' is Ga, B" is Co, Mn, Fe, Ni, Cu, Al, etc., and O<x<0.25, y=n/6 (n is any one of 3, 4, 5.) and 0≤δ≤0.5 are satisfied. The fuel cell includes the material in an air electrode and a fuel electrode. A gallate composite oxide of perofskite structure ABO<SB>3-δ</SB>, including Ga in a B site is used as a solid electrolyte.
