摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric ceramic having a wide service temperature range, which can get a large amount of displacement, can be easily fired and is excellent from the view of pollution reduction, environment and ecological protection and to provide a method of producing the same. <P>SOLUTION: A piezoelectric substrate 1 contains (1-m-n)ä(Na<SB>1-x-y</SB>K<SB>x</SB>Li<SB>y</SB>)(Nb<SB>1-z</SB>Ta<SB>z</SB>)O<SB>3</SB>}+mä(M1)ZrO<SB>3</SB>}+näM2(Nb<SB>1-w</SB>Ta<SB>w</SB>)<SB>2</SB>O<SB>6</SB>} as the main component, wherein preferably each of M1 and M2 is an alkaline earth metal element and (x), (y), (m) and (n) lie respectively within ranges of 0.1&le;x&le;0.9, 0&le;y&le;0.1, 0<m<0.1 and 0<n&le;0.01, which enables to raise a high Curie temperature, producing a large amount of displacement and facilitating firing.
