<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an energy dispersing method and energy dispersal circuit in which a time required for initializing energy dispersion is shortened, and also to provide a digital broadcast receiver using the same. <P>SOLUTION: The energy dispersal circuit which generates a pseudo random binary sequence (PRBS) and executes an exclusive-OR (XOR) operation with respect to a data signal, includes a register value calculator for calculating a register value of a shift register 203 on the basis of inputted data and a packet number. The register value calculator has a bit divider 120 for dividing the packet number from LSB to MSB, packet shift operators 101-10N for bit-shifting an initial value of the shift register from 2<SP>0</SP>bits to 2<SP>N-1</SP>bits, and selectors 110-11N for selecting inputs and outputs thereof. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
