<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device and its fabricating method. <P>SOLUTION: The substrate for the liquid crystal display includes a black matrix on a substrate having first, second, third and fourth sub-pixel regions, wherein the black matrix includes first, second, third and fourth openings corresponding to the first, second, third and fourth sub-pixel regions, respectively, first, second and third color filter patterns corresponding to the first, second and third openings, respectively, a first planarization layer on the first, second and third color filter patterns and filling the fourth opening, and a second planarization layer on the first planarization layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
