<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid imparting a trouble feeling to a driver by the operation of a traffic lane deviation alarm caused by unintentional traveling of a vehicle near a merging traffic lane in a juncture section or the like. <P>SOLUTION: This traffic lane deviation prevention device is provided with a front camera 1 and a rear camera 2 picking up images in front of and in the rear of its own vehicle, and detects right and left traffic lane partitioning lines on the basis of respective pickup images. For example, when a detection state of the traffic lane partitioning line transits with a pattern wherein the right front side traffic lane partitioning line and the right rear side traffic lane partitioning line are lost in this order from a detecting state of the right and left and front and rear traffic lane partitioning lines, and the right front side traffic lane partitioning line and the right rear side traffic lane partitioning line are newly detected in this order, the traffic lane deviation prevention device decides that the own vehicle travels in the juncture section wherein the right side traffic lane joins the traffic lane of the own vehicle, and changes a threshold value Ythr for traffic lane deviation decision to the right side direction to a larger value Ythr2. When it comes into a state that both the front-and-left right side traffic lane partitioning lines are detected, the traffic lane deviation prevention device decides that passage in the juncture section is completed, and gradually returns the threshold value Ythr to a normal value Ythr1 after a prescribed time lapses. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
