PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate initialization processing by determining the reliability of a program (an executable unit requiring a page) when performing page allocation in a computer system, and to thereby reduce the time required for the allocation processing. SOLUTION: In some computer systems, memory is managed on a page-by-page basis and page allocation is performed upon request. When a page is requested, a reliability determining section determines whether the requester is reliable or not in accordance with reliability determination criteria. If the requester is determined as reliable, page initialization processing can be dispensed with when delivering the page. It is thereby possible to speed up the page allocation processing.
