PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vending machine, a shutter, a bronze statue, and a metallic building each composed by forming, on the surface thereof, a glass coating layer having excellent pollution resistance, cleanability, maintainability, scribbling-proof property, poster resistance, appearance keeping capability. SOLUTION: The glass coating layer is formed by applying, to a surface of a cabinet, a glass coating agent obtained by hydrolyzing, dehydrating and condensing a hydrolyzable organic metal compound in a reaction liquid comprising water and an organic solvent by using halogen ions as catalyst in the presence of boron ions while adjusting pH to 4.5-5.0, and by vitrifying it below 200°C.
