PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep down expense for connecting gas pipes at a low cost as to a sealing structure for gas pipes with a seal member, used for sealing spaces between fit parts of the turnably together fitted gas pipes. SOLUTION: The seal member 6 made of metal is provided between a stepped surface 12 of the gas pipe 1 and a right-end surface 23 of a joint 2. Both end surfaces of the seal member 6 are planes orthogonal to a turning-motion axis line L, when the seal member 6 is in a natural state in which no external force acts thereon. An annular projection part 14 is formed in an inner circumferential part of the stepped surface 12, while an annular projection part 24 is formed in an outer circumferential part of the end surface 23. Both the end surfaces of the seal member 6 are caused to make pressing contact with the projection parts 14 and 24, respectively, with the seal member 6 being elastically deformed in the direction of the axis line L.
