PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anchor securing method for efficiently carrying out installation work of an installation object in a short time with good efficiency, and fastening the installation object while continuously maintaining high tensile strength, and to provide an anchor for use in the method. SOLUTION: According to the anchor securing method, an installation hole H is drilled in a concrete structure C on which the installation object W is mounted, and an adhesive B is filled in the hole, followed by inserting the anchor 1 in the hole immediately before hardening of the adhesive and expanding an expandable piece 6 in the hole, whereby the anchor engages in a hole wall to be secured to the same. Thus, the adhesive B is spread into a gap between the anchor and the peripheral hole wall due to the insertion of the anchor 1, and then hardened to secure the anchor in the hole. By virtue of the mechanical securing of the anchor 1 and the physical securing of the adhesive B, the installation object can stably be anchored to the concrete structure C undergoing application of a large load or vibrations thereto, or the concrete structure suffering from degradation due to cracking.
