PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exterior wall reform structure, having furring strips fixed to an existing wall and exterior wall panels fixed to the furring strips, which reform structure excels in a fastening strength of the exterior wall panels, suppresses outward protrusion of a post-reform new wall from the existing wall to a necessity minimum, and secures a ventilation layer between the existing wall and the new wall. SOLUTION: Metal furring strips 10 are used as the furring strips which are to be fixed to the existing wall 60. Each of the metal furring strips 10 comprises a base plate 11 fixed to the existing wall 60, a front plate 13 extending parallel to the base plate 11 to which plate 13 the exterior wall panel 30 is fixed, and a joint part 12 for joining the base plate 11 and the front plate 13 together. In an area S of the base plate 11, there is no front plate 13 on the surface side.
