PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve dyed quality and lustrous feeling of a cross-twisted yarn obtained by using a protein fiber or an aliphatic polyester fiber with a plant fiber in at least a part without getting the embrittlement of the protein fiber or the aliphatic polyester fiber. SOLUTION: This cross-twisted yarn obtained by using the protein fiber or aliphatic polyester fiber with the plant fiber in at least the part is constituted by winding a yarn A containing the protein fiber or aliphatic polyester fiber on a yarn B containing the plant fiber and is characterized by containing≥5 mass% and≤60 mass% protein fiber or aliphatic polyester yarn and≥10 mass% and≤90 mass% bleached and/or mercerized plant fiber based on the total mass of the cross-twisted yarn.
