<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce cutting of the leading part of communication by an OFF time of intermittent reception and to sufficiently reduce current consumption in the case of intermittent reception while radio communication apparatuses are not synchronized. <P>SOLUTION: A radio communication apparatus comprises: a reception circuit block 20 including a reception field strength signal circuit 15; a demodulation circuit block 21 including a noise level determination circuit 12; an identification signal determination circuit block 22 comprised of an identification signal processing circuit 13 and an identification signal determination circuit 14; an audio circuit block 23; a transmission circuit 18; an intermittent time control circuit 16; a timer circuit 17; and a power supply control circuit 10. In accordance with a reception state, the power supply control circuit 10 supplies power only to required circuits in the reception circuit block 20, the demodulation circuit block 21 and the identification signal determination circuit block 22 in order. Furthermore, the OFF time of communication which is set by the timer circuit 17 in accordance with the frequency of communication, is varied by the intermittent time control circuit 16. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
