<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an effective identification technique of a service provided on a packet network like an IP or the like. <P>SOLUTION: A method to identify the service provided through a packet data system is provided. The method has a step to monitor a data packet running in a communication link to support a data transmission service in a communication network, a step to lead out first information to identify an access point related to the data transmission service according to a content of the data packet, a step to lead out second information to identify a network address and a port number connected with a providing application service related to the data transmission service according to the content of the data packet, a step to lead out third information having a URI related to the data transmission service according to the content of the data packet, and a step to provide an ID of the data transmission service by connecting the first, second, and third pieces of information together. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
