<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic playing controller capable of controlling automatic playing matching a song mode and a pattern mode by using a single playing operator. <P>SOLUTION: In the song mode, a function allocation section 6 allocates the function of a playback switch 4 and the function of a stop switch 3 to a foot switch 1 alternately so that a playback is started and stopped by turns.
