INTERMEDIATE TRANSFER BODY, ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intermediate transfer body having satisfactorily improved uniformity of resistance in an intermediate transfer apparatus of an electrophotographic apparatus or the like; a method for manufacturing the intermediate transfer body; an image forming apparatus having improved image quality by the intermediate transfer body; a dispersion composition of fine particles containing polyamide acid; a method for producing the composition, relating to a film-forming liquid composition for obtaining the apparatus; and a dispersion composition of fine particles for the method for producing the dispersion composition.

SOLUTION: The intermediate transfer body in an intermediate transfer apparatus of an electrophotographic apparatus or the like has a layer containing surface-modified carbon black and a binder resin, wherein the surface modified carbon black can be dispersed or dissolved in a water-soluble organic solvent, without using dispersants by the reaction of functional groups on the surface of the carbon black with a polymer, comprising polyamide acid or polyimide or with a block or graft polymer. The ratio of the amount of hydrophilic functional groups to the specific surface area of the carbon black is in the range of 5 to 30μmol/m2.
