PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform stabilized communication using a PLC apparatus by PLC without being affected by high frequency components from a non-PLC apparatus. SOLUTION: The power line carrier communication system comprises a power line 2, a PLC apparatus 5 and a non-PLC apparatus 11, and a specific frequency component attenuator 15 wherein the specific frequency component attenuator 15 has a switch 21 performing on/off operation depending on the shape of each blade 8, 13 of a connected PLC apparatus 5 or non-PLC apparatus 11. The switch 21 discriminates which of the PLC apparatus 5 or the non-PLC apparatus 11 is connected by on/off operation and performs switching between transmission and attenuation of the specific frequency component.
