PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting device capable of irradiating a large area, as compared with one panel by bonding a plurality of panels having EL elements, and capable of suppressing darkening of joint parts between adjacent panels. SOLUTION: The lighting device 10 is arranged so that panels 11 has transparent substrates 13 and organic EL elements 14 on the transparent substrates 13, where a plurality of the panels 11 are arranged adjacent, and the end surfaces of the transparent substrates 13 thereof face each other.
