PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a tip end of a ferrule is roughened in a stage of removing an adhesive and an optical fiber projecting from the ferrule, and many processes such as a grinding processing and a polishing processing are needed. SOLUTION: The optical fiber 2 is fixed in a through hole of the ferrule 1 with an adhesive 3 and the optical fiber 2 and adhesive 3 which project from the tip end of the ferrule 1 are irradiated with laser light 13 of≤0.4μm in wavelength to remove the optical fiber 2 and adhesive 3 which projects from the tip end of the ferrule 1 at the same time, thereby processing the ferrule 1, optical fiber 2, and adhesive into the same plane shape.
