PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems in a refrigerant compressor wherein a pressure in a discharge chamber is increased and a paper gasket is broken, and if a metal gasket is used, warpage occurs and sealability is deteriorated, and high level air column resonance noise occurs and the adoption of a suction muffler formed of a synthetic resin is difficult. SOLUTION: This refrigerant compressor holding the metal gasket 121 only on a discharge side between a cylinder head 112 and a valve plate 110 has such actions that is hard to break, prevents sealability on the suction side from being deteriorated since the metal gasket 121 is not installed between an intake muffler outlet part opening end 115 and the valve plate 10, and has an action to prevent the air column resonance noise from occurring.
