PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable works having different dimensions to be held at a specified height position. SOLUTION: This packaging device is constituted in such a manner that an accumulation unit B for which films are folded on the body may be pinched by a paddle mechanism 10. A pair of upper paddles constituting the paddle mechanism are respectively fixed to an endless fixed chain and an adjusting chain which circumferentially turn by four pairs of sprockets. At the same time, the paddle mechanism 10 is intermittently conveyed by rotating the sprockets. A conveying means 32 is vertically movably supported by a frame 36, and the frame 36 is made vertically movable by a jack section 39 which is driven by a servo motor. In this packaging device, when the height of the accumulation unit B which is pinched by the paddle mechanism is large, the conveying means 32 is raised together with the frame 36 through the jack section 39. When the height of the accumulation unit B is small, the conveying means 32 is lowered together with the frame 36 by the jack section, and the height is adjusted to the accumulation unit.
