PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spacer, and a slitter blade replacing method using the spacer allowing automatic blade replacement while preventing the chipping of a round blade. SOLUTION: This spacer for fixing the round blade mounted to an arbor of a slitter has a portion capable of buckling, at least in part, and has such buckling characteristics that thickness is reducible by buckling of the portion capable of buckling when clamping pressure of predetermined buckling load or more is applied.
