PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extend durability of a sliding nozzle plate and reduce a cost of the plate, by forming an erosion part of the plate, which is eroded remarkably due to a shape of the plate, into a shape capable of solving the problem of erosion. SOLUTION: The sliding nozzle plate has dimensions (the unit: mm) shown in the following formula. A distance between a center position X of a nozzle hole and the nearest edge in a longitudinal direction of the sliding nozzle plate is obtained by adding a distance b between the center position X and the circumference of a virtual circle around the center X to a distance d between the circumference of the vertual circle and the nearest edge in a longitudinal direction. A dimension S of a stroke equals to a distance between the center position X and a center position Y. A dimension c equals to a distance between the center position Y and the nearest edge in a longitudinal direction of the sliding nozzle plate.
