摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately grasp whether the supply of material in casting or injection molding is proper or not, and further to utilize the result for setting forming conditions. SOLUTION: An ultrasonic sensor 10 is attached to a forming die 1 for die casting. Reflected waves of the ultrasonic waves after the cavity 5 of the forming die 1 has been filled with molten metal M are monitored by means of a material supply judging apparatus 12. Variation of the intensity level of the reflected waves reflected from the forming surface 3a opposed to the incidence side of the ultrasonic waves is monitored. If two peaks appear, it is judged that the molten metal has been satisfactorily supplied. If only one peak appears, it is judged that the molten metal has not been satisfactorily supplied.
