PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a riding type rice transplanter that smoothly releases locking of steering and prevents troubles such as damage of a steering gear, etc., when an excessive load is applied to a handle. SOLUTION: In the riding type rice transplanter with which a planting part is liftably connected to the rear of a traveling part, the front end part of the traveling part is equipped with an arm body and the front part of the traveling part is prevented from rising through the arm body, a plane part is arranged at the front part of a steering operation arm in a steering mechanism between a steering spindle and a front axle case. A plane part that is brought into contact with the plane part of the steering operation arm and is urged toward the steering operation arm is installed at the rear part of a steering block body connected to the steering operation arm.
